no domestic wild animals? why no? from the title I though any animal that's going wild (crazy)... cuz my doggie is the Queen of Wildness

egh.. fine!
not caged? where are we to find wild animals in our little village? gaby, i think you should lessen the requirenments, or you'll have the only entry in the next week's contest. mhehe
It's not hard to take pictures of animals in the wild. No zoo! Lazy bum.
LOL...I have lots of pictures of Max, too...but no doggies.

I say, take pictures of the roadkill

that would be as "wild life" as it gets in our area
btw. i got this email on Monday morning when i came to work:
Quote:BLACK BEAR SIGHTED ON THE NIST GAITHERSBURG CAMPUS
About noon on Saturday, June 7, a NIST Police Officer spotted a juvenile black bear on the NIST campus. The Gaithersburg Police and Animal Control staff informed NIST Police that the animal entered the site near the woods behind the NIST Center for Neutron Research. The bear appears to be a male, about 3 years old. When the bear saw NIST police and Gaithersburg Animal control it ran into the woods.
The MD Department of Natural Resources does not plan to tranquilize the bear at this time. They have advised us to leave the bear alone and let him find his way back to more appropriate wilderness.
BEAR SAFETY
If you see a bear on the NIST Site:
* Stay calm. Do not approach the bear.
* Back away slowly.
* Go inside; call the NIST Police at x2805.
* Wait for the bear to leave. Most bears fear people and will leave when they see you.
* If a bear makes any sound, snaps its jaws, slaps the ground or brush, or bluff charges: YOU ARE TOO CLOSE!
* The MD Department of Natural Resources suggests that we learn to tolerate bears. Many bears are killed or injured when not causing problems.
If the bear is treed:
* LEAVE IT ALONE! The bear will usually go away when it feels safe.
* Have people leave the area.
Additional details concerning black bears and safety are found at:

For Parents of children at the NIST Child Care Center:
We will take special precautions at the Child Care Center to ensure the children are not exposed to any risk. More information will be provided when you drop off your children at the Center.
